HERstory of Empowerment:
Creativity, Art, and Resilience

🗓️ March 2025 | 📍 Amber Agave
Chicago IL

My first solo-hosted event, HERstory of Empowerment was a celebration of art, identity, and resilience in honor of Women’s History Month. I curated and moderated a panel featuring four diverse and talented creatives—Gracie Koh (filmmaker), Harini Nilakantan (dancer), Sylvia Chen (illustrator and business owner), and KT (musician). These incredible women, all great friends of mine, shared their journeys, challenges, and triumphs, creating an inspiring space for storytelling and connection.

To further encourage creativity and self-expression, I set up a scrapbook-making station where attendees could craft their own art pieces, adding a hands-on, personal touch to the event.

This event was especially meaningful to me because I organized everything myself—from securing the panelists to designing the experience. Seeing these brilliant creatives have a platform to share their voices was something I was deeply proud of.
